21st Golden Cup International Cocktail Competition – TAIWAN

ATTENTION ALL BARTENDERS!

A golden chance to go to Taiwan to represent India.

The Biggest International Competition, 21st Golden Cup International Cocktail Competition will be taken place in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This competition will be hosted by Bartender Association Taiwan (BAT) and
Taiwan Government department:” Bureau of Cultural Affairs Kaohsiung City Government”.
The date for 21st Golden Cup International Cocktail Competition will be at 3rd and 4th December, 2016. This competition will be opened for international competitors. There are 2 categories: Bartender Choice Cocktail and Flairtending.
Each country will send 2 competitors to participate in this competition. One will attend the Bartender Choice Cocktail Competition; the other will attend the Flairtending Competition.
The BAT is offering 2 complimentary twin-share hotel rooms of 4 nights stay and plus Taiwan Trip(2 Days), one for 1 president, and 1 delegate ; another room for 2 competitors who are present your association to participate at the 21st Golden Cup International Cocktail Competition.

RULE & REGULATIONS (According to IBA WCC 2015 Rules)

* Classic-Bartender Choice

  1. Each contestant is required to create and prepare one Cocktail. It can be Bartender Choice (fancy drink).
  2. The time limit is seven (7) minutes.
  3. There will be one (1) more additional minute for Speech; you can share your idea or any story about your cocktail.
  4. The Language for the speech should be in English.
  5. Competitors may use as many ingredients as his/her needs, no ingredients limit for Bartender Choice.The assigned product is Reàl, it would be provided by BAT.
  6. Recipes must contain at least 4 cl of alcoholic ingredients, but not more than 7cl.
  7. No heat ingredients to be used.
  8. Only one Home-made or self-made ingredient would be allowed to use in the recipe.

Homemade Ingredient Specification

  1. The assigned product is not to be used for preparing homemade ingredients.
  2.  Composition of this ingredient has to be described in the additional recipe on the registration form.
  3.  A maximum of 2cl can be used in a recipe.
  4.  Strictly not allowed in the recipe: -Heated ingredients -Non-assigned product ingredients -Artificial        Colorants and Food dyes -Ice cream
  5.  Fresh or dried flowers as garnish
  6.  Decorations and garnishes have to be prepared in the back-stage area but cannot be made beforehand and  brought to the competition.
  7.  The decoration and garnish preparing time is Fifteen (15) Minutes
  8.  No ice may be put into glasses prior to start of the competition.
  9.  Competitors must produce five (5) cocktails during his/her routine in the stipulated time.
  10.  Competitors should provide his/her own glassware.
  11.  Competitors should provide his/her own speed pourers, utensils, bottles, BAT would be provided assigned product.

Flairtending Cocktail Competition

  1. Each contestant is required to create and prepare one Cocktail.
  2. The time limit is five (5) minutes.
  3. No more than six (6) ingredients are to be used.
  4. The cocktail created can be in any style.
  5. The assigned product is Reàl, it would be provided by BAT.
  6. Recipes must contain at least 4 cl of alcoholic ingredients, but not more than 7cl.
  7. No heat ingredients to be used.
  8. Strictly not allowed in the recipe: -Homemade, pre-made or infused ingredients -Heated ingredients
  9. Non-assigned product ingredients.

Artificial, Colorants and Food dyes

-Ice cream

-Fresh or dried flowers as garnish

  1. Decorations and garnishes have to be prepared in the back-stage area but cannot be made beforehand and brought to the competition.
  2. The decoration and garnish preparing time is Fifteen (15) Minutes.
  3. Competitors must produce Four (4) cocktails during his/her routine in the stipulated time.
  4. Competitor shall provide his/her own glassware.
  5. Flairtending Competitor would provide his/her own CD.
  6. Competitors should provide his/her own speed pourers, utensils, bottles, BAT would be provided assigned product.
